Access Sport

Hello and welcome to Access Sport.

Access Sport  strives to provide & promote a wide range of sporting opportunities and initiatives for you to step in to sport and get involved at a suitable level.

From basic signposting and providing general information to organising and promoting a range of opportunities for you to develop; through coaching, sports leaders’ courses, fundraising, volunteering opportunities and much more.

Working with sporting governing bodies helps us to expand our sports offer –2012/13 sees exciting links with Badminton England, England Volleyball, The Rugby Football Union, The English Lacrosse Association, The English Table Tennis Association as well as Sport England’s 'Sportivate' initiative. Access Sport is also responsible for the delivery of the Communities’ Sport Programme offering free sport for all students living in University owned and managed accommodation. Click on our Communities Sport pages to see what’s on offer.

We also work in partnership with Give it a Go Sport & Sheffield Volunteering down at the Students’ Union to provide you with a broad choice of activities to try something new and enhance your CV.

There are so many great opportunities for you to ‘Get in to Sport’ at Sport Sheffield – leaving you with no excuses to sit on the side lines. So what are you waiting for? Get Involved!
