With twelve small sided floodlit pitches accommodating local clubs, community leagues and University teams, the award winning Goodwin Sports Centre is one of the best facilities for football in the country.

Sport Sheffield was audited by the Football Association on 16/10/2012.

Previously Sport Sheffield had been rated 4 (out of 5) for its programmes, management and pitch surfaces. However, on this occasion we are delighted to say we received a 5 rating. The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA region extends to the whole of South Yorkshire and parts of the North Midlands and no facility in this area has previously received a 5 rating. The FA was particularly impressed with the Sport Sheffield programme and initiatives, overall management and the recent investment in football surfaces which has raised the quality of our facilities.

Sport Sheffield will be undertaking work in the near future towards attaining the FA Small Sided Football Accreditation.
