All Nations Football Festival

The All Nations Football Festival took place at Goodwin sports centre on the 1st and 2nd September 2012.

The event is organised by FURD (football unites racism divides) in conjunction with the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA, and is aimed at bringing together refugees, asylum seekers and minority groups to unite through football.

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the tournament, which also incorporated a family fun day and children’s activities.

The football tournament took place on Saturday and Sunday, and consisted of 12 teams from across Sheffield and the local area.

As well as the football tournament, there was a street kick inflatable football pitch, penalty shootouts, face painting, bouncy castle, balloon making and henna artists available.

The football tournament was won for the 2nd year running by the Yemeni All Stars.
