Welcome to The University Of Sheffield Cycling Club

Whether you’re a regular racer, road cyclist or mountain biker, or you just fancy getting out on your bike with new people and exploring Sheffield and the Peak District under your own steam, then our Club is for you!

Congratulations on joining the University of Sheffield, and welcome to the best cycling cities in the UK!

As one of the longest running clubs at the University, we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of riding and events across multiple disciplines and for all abilities, as well as creating a friendly, welcoming environment for anyone who’s keen to get involved. We run official rides twice a week during term with 3 levels of road rides plus regular women-only rides, and mountain bike rides for any ability, generally heading out into the Peak District or up to areas just north of Sheffield. Unofficial rides organised between members also take place most days of the weeks as everyone tries to fit as much riding time as possible between lectures! Last year UoSCC enjoyed one of the most successful years we’ve ever had as a club, with outstanding individual and team results in BUCS events in both road cycling and downhill mountain biking, as well as victory in Varsity competition against Sheffield Hallam.

To join visit https://www.sport-sheffield.com/online/memberships/clubs/

On top of riding, being part of the Cycling Club will give you access to exclusive deals with our sponsor companies that are not available elsewhere, involvement in regular club socials, joint events with other universities, and other courses we will be running such as First Aid and basic bike maintenance.

Go to https://www.sport-sheffield.com/online/memberships/clubs/ and find cycling in the drop down menu. You will need to be logged into Sport Sheffield to buy a membership

Having just completed a very successful year based on competition results, our key aim is to build on these achievements and get people involved in competitive events, both in Varsity and BUCS, and supporting riders who compete for UoSCC in other events. We are also want to continue the growth of the club with greater member numbers and increasing women members by introducing more focused events, socials and courses to suit all of our participants.
