Welcome to The University Of Sheffield Pool and Snooker Club. As one of the most open and inclusive clubs here at the University, with members from a variety of countries with a wide range of skill sets, we have something to offer everyone
Cue sports have a special home here in Sheffield; the World Snooker Championships are held every year in the city’s own Crucible Theatre. The Pool & Snooker Club therefore has brilliant opportunities to offer to its members, with a number of nearby snooker clubs and pool halls.
We hold regular socials and casual internal tournaments, as well as tournaments against our friendly rivals, Sheffield Hallam.
For those who want to play competitively, we have a number of activities for you: • Our club members take part in the weekly English 8-Ball pool league in Sheffield. • All our members can play in our Mini-Leagues. Run within the club, these allow members to challenge each other and move up and down the ladders depending on performance. • National tournaments (Snooker, 8-Ball and 9-Ball) are held throughout the year with multiple Universities attending. These are held all across the country, from Yarmouth to Leeds, and right here in Sheffield!
