Welcome to The University Of Sheffield Rugby League Club

We are SURLFC, Sheffield's oldest Rugby League Club, founded in 1969. We have two long standing principles; Inclusivity and Performance. We strive to ensure that regardless of skill or expertise we provide the very best experience for all our members. This includes maximising playing time and unlocking potential, along side maintaining our inclusive social culture which we are proud of. We are committed to stand by our 'No Initiations, No Pressure' slogan, meaning no member will ever feel out of place at SURLFC.

We also want every member to reach their full playing potential, whether that be in training, S&C, BUCS Wednesdays or rep sides such as Yorkshire or England Uni's. Our high quality coaching and S&C work is coupled with the 'determined to succeed' attitude around the club, meaning we are always striving to be our very best on and off the field.

The best place to contact us is at our Twitter or Instagram pages - both @SURLFC. We'd love to have you down no matter your skill level. From complete novices, Union converts and Rugby League veterans there is a place for everyone at SURLFC. Come and play the 'greatest game of all.'

Meet us on virtual sports fair for more information, or get in touch on social media to join.

Win the league. Maintain a competitive squad with potential to expand to two BUCS teams next season. Promote the 'greatest game of all' across the University and the city.
