Table Tennis Club

Welcome to The University Of Sheffield Table Tennis Club

A performance and socially inclusive club striving to improve each year as the best BUCS club at the UoS. Providing quality coaching for players of all abilities, social free play sessions, competitions and a great social scene to get involved with

The University of Sheffield Table Tennis club welcomes players of all abilities and prides itself in providing an inclusive and social environment for performance and casual players alike. Whether you want to play for fun or improve your skills, this is the club for you!

We have weekly coaching sessions, as well as free play sessions and mini competitions! Currently we are the second best and highest scoring BUCS club (but first in previous years) at the University, victorious at Varsity for the last 7 years and were the ONLY club to have a team qualify for the European University Championships 2018 in Portugal (Men’s First Team) from our university and we also qualified again last year (unfortunately it was cancelled due to COVID-19).

Everyone has the opportunity to compete in trials for a place in one of our many teams at the beginning of the year, for the chance to compete in BUCS and the Sheffield Local League and be a part of our performance squad. We host a variety of socials such as fortnightly themed nights out to ROAR along with trips to our sponsors at Molly Malone’s and Bar One.

In the upcoming year, we are continuing our work with local mental health charities (i.e. Sheffield Half Marathon for STEPS) and partnering up with Advantage Table Tennis who offer high-quality coaching to people with disabilities for a reduced rate. To see some of our performances check out our Youtube Channel:

Simply join us on one of our give it a go or regular training sessions! Drop a message into our facebook, twitter, instagram or email to find out more!

Our main aim for the season is to share our passion for table tennis with as many people as possible, whether this is children, students or adults we believe table tennis is for everyone and we would like to spread that view. Another aim of ours is to maintain an inclusive and highly competitive club, whether you have never played before or if you play internationally, we will greet you with friendly faces and will provide you with coaching and facilities to suit you. Our final aim for this year is to raise awareness of mental health in sport and raise money for charities that support people who are suffering from mental health.
