Welcome to The University Of Sheffield Triathlon Club

The University of Sheffield Triathlon Club is a friendly group of students whose main aim is to encourage and promote the sport of Triathlon in Sheffield to all abilities.

Still a relatively new club, we have been growing in numbers year on year and whether you are brand new to the sport, can’t swim or ride a bike, or been doing triathlon for years, we are a diverse group that caters for absolutely everyone! Our members are the friendliest people you will find, they are extremely welcoming and passionate about what we do and will help encourage you to really get into the sport. With numerous sessions each week, we can support you in developing your technique ensuring safety in your training as well as guidance on how to train properly. With the peak district right on our doorstep, we have an amazing opportunity to cycle around some beautiful places.

‘But I don’t have a bike with me at University.’ Don’t worry, we have several club bikes that are there to be used by our members at no cost.

Still not sure if triathlon is for you? You can come to all of our training sessions for the first 2 weeks without paying membership to see how you find it.

There has never been a better time to join this club full of the nicest people that you will no doubt become amazing friends with. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, no matter how silly they may seem, we hope to see you all soon!

Training

Details

We having training sessions everyday of the week and people are welcome to come to as many or as few as they want - there are zero commitments! Each session is separated into different groups of varying abilities and we will always go as fast as the slowest person in a group, meaning we will never leave anyone behind. Our training sessions include: Swimming Cycling Running Fartlek runs Hill sprints Track sessions Strength & Conditioning (S&C) and new for this year: Yoga!

Swims are based in Goodwin Swimming Pool Runs start at Weston park and we have various routes around the city Cycles meet at Crosspool Tavern where we venture into the peak district
