Aims For The Year Ahead

We aim for our club to be a welcoming place for newcomers and experts alike! During term time we will get you riding snow all year round and then take you on our two incredible holidays at Christmas and Easter. We aim to improve your riding through friendly competition, strength and conditioning sessions and regular practice. We will also aim to get you involved in freestyle and race snowboarding throughout the year, and it's not always about competition, there is always the opportunity for just a casual board. We are not just about snowboarding, our welcoming, friendly and varied socials are really important to us!

Training Times

We will be running regular trips to the awesome Castleford Xscape Indoor SnoZone so that you can ride on snow all year round, usually every 2 to 3 weeks. The Xscape sessions usually take place on Wednesday evenings leaving from bar one at around 5 pm. We will also have some trips to Rossendale dryslope to get some practice in for our national competitions. Keep checking our Facebook and website for up to date details of our next sessions.

Training Location

Our main snowboarding spot will be in the Castleford Xscape indoor SnoZone. We have a good deal with Xscape, giving you discounts and money off lessons and main slope prices.

Training Travel Details

We travel to and from Xscape by coach which is sorted out by us, all you have to do is turn up to bar one on time.

Club Achievements

We have had an incredible year of achievements! We beat Hallam for the fifth year running at our winter varsity. We came 2nd at Kings national dryslope finals held in Bristol! In freestyle we had 2 Finalists and bronze medals at both the British University indoor championships and the freestyle championships in the alps! We plan on even more success this year and encourage all to give it a go!

We go on two awesome holidays abroad each year; our massive winter varsity holiday in December 16th-24th and another holiday during the Easter break, April 1st-8th. Other than training all year round we travel to national competitions like BUDS (in Edinburgh) and Kings (Manchester, Sunderland, Bristol, Essex). We also do a range of other adrenaline filled activities! We run a couple of wakeboarding weekends a year. We also have longboarding sessions in the park when the sun's out. We have socials every other week when we are not training, held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays depending on the event.
