How To Join/Get Involved

If you're new to fencing, come along to one of our Give It A Go sessions, you can buy tickets at the Box Office at the Students Union, or to our beginners session on a Monday night. Fencers with more experience should come along to our advanced sessions on a Friday.

Aims For The Year Ahead

Continue to grow and expand the club with more emphasis getting more members involved in the competitive aspects of the sport. We are also aiming to push our more advanced Fencers with more drills, including different internationally renowned techniques and routines.

Monday: 7-9:30pm Beginners
Friday: 8-10pm Advanced
Sunday: 5-7pm Fitness and Fencing

Training Travel Details

All within walking distance of Endcliffe, Ranmoor or Opal. Alternatively, the 52 and 120 buses both pass relatively close to both locations. For people living outside of Halls, both location are well within walking distance of Crookes and Crookesmoor.

Club Achievements

Both Men's and Women's teams are competitive within their respective leagues. Last year our Men's Captain finished 3rd at the annual BUCS individual competition held in Sheffield. Our Women's Foil Team finished 2nd at the X-Systra games in Paris with the Men's Sabre Team finishing 4th.  

Events

In addition to our training we have both a Men's and Women's teams competing in weekly BUCS matches. We also go on Tour to the X-Systra Games, held in Paris, every year in February.
